MaaS (Mobility as a Service) refers to integrated mobility services that bring multiple modes of transportation together within a unified user experience. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in Japan is also actively promoting its adoption.

Transportation is one of the fields in which Maplat is particularly effective. In addition to point-to-point transformation, Maplat can also transform corresponding linear features even when their shapes differ, making it well suited to route maps and other transport-related spatial representations.
