Maplat will be exhibited at the Nayuta, Inc. booth at FOSS4G Hiroshima 2026<\/a><\/strong>, to be held in Hiroshima this September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On September 2, we will also give a presentation titled \u201cBringing Old Maps & Illustrated Maps to the Web: 10 Years of Maplat and Turning Misalignment into Innovation<\/a>,\u201d covering the past ten years of Maplat and the technology behind connecting old maps and illustrated maps with modern web maps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside the event, we are planning the official release of Maplat 1.0<\/strong>. In advance of that release, 1.0 Release Candidate (RC)<\/strong> versions are now available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With only about half a month to go until FOSS4G, we are currently focused on bug fixing and final adjustments for the official release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you would like to try the new Maplat ahead of the official release, please give the RC versions a try. If you find any issues, reports on GitHub would be greatly appreciated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
