Maplat Family 1.0 RC Is Now Available

Maplat will be exhibited at the Nayuta, Inc. booth at FOSS4G Hiroshima 2026, to be held in Hiroshima this September.
On September 2, we will also give a presentation titled “Bringing Old Maps & Illustrated Maps to the Web: 10 Years of Maplat and Turning Misalignment into Innovation,” covering the past ten years of Maplat and the technology behind connecting old maps and illustrated maps with modern web maps.
Alongside the event, we are planning the official release of Maplat 1.0. In advance of that release, 1.0 Release Candidate (RC) versions are now available.
With only about half a month to go until FOSS4G, we are currently focused on bug fixing and final adjustments for the official release.
If you would like to try the new Maplat ahead of the official release, please give the RC versions a try. If you find any issues, reports on GitHub would be greatly appreciated.
Maplat Family Libraries: 1.0.0-rc1
MaplatEditor 1.0.0-rc3
Installers are also available for each supported platform.
If you are attending FOSS4G Hiroshima 2026, please stop by the Nayuta booth and say hello.
